The 12 Step Ohana Club General Rules
Sign In at Entryway –
- Each person must sign in at the entryway.
- Members may bring one guest per day. Members must stay with guest at all times.
- Non-Members may enter half an hour before meetings, attend the meeting, and then stay for around half an hour after the meeting. If a non-member wants to stay longer, then $2 daily pass is requested.
Meetings –
- Currently, almost all meetings are based on the 12 steps.
- When a meeting is in progress, lounge noise must be kept to a minimum. We are working on better sound dividers, but until that time, meetings trump activities of a loud nature.
- Currently, meetings will share half of their 7th Tradition to support the Ohana club. Meetings are encouraged to ask their members to donate another dollar or two as able.
- Meetings must clean up after the meeting and make way for the next group coming in.
- Meeting secretaries asked to remind each group: no smoking or vaping near the building; put cell phones on vibrate and take all conversations outside; no going in the kitchen; only service animals allowed and must be on a leash and with their owner.
House Behavior –
- No stealing from the club; we survive on the good will and good faith of our members and guests. Stealing from the club is sinking the ship.
- No inappropriate sexual advances or “13th Stepping”; unwanted harassment can and will result in removal from the club and possible suspension.
- Clean up after yourself! Please do not leave your trash or belongings scattered around the club. A towel will be available to wipe down your table after use.
- No sleeping in the club.
- If you are drunk or intoxicated, you may be asked to leave until you are clean and sober.
Pets –
- ONLY certified service animals allowed and MUST be on a leash and with their owner.
Cell Phones, Music, Sound Volume –
- Cell phone calls MUST be taken outside in the parking lot. NO calls on speaker phone!
- Music must be connected to your earphones/earbuds. Only the house music is allowed unless approved by the house manager.
- Keep noise and music down when the meetings are in session.
- No loud music of loud conversations in the parking lot after 9 pm on weekdays, and 10:30 pm on weekends since we are adjacent to a residential area.
Children –
- All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. No children may be left unattended. If a child is left at the club, it will be considered child abandonment and the police will be contacted.
Smoking & Vaping –
- Smoking and vaping ONLY in the designated area in the parking lot. NO smoking in the building or on the lanai.
Attire –
- Shoes and Shirt required. Swimsuits must be covered.
Safety –
- No weapons (including but not limited to: guns, knives) or toy weapons may be brought or used in the club. Any weapons will result in the police being called.
- No harrassment, bullying, prejucidicial comments are allowed. Members and guests will be asked to leave and possibly have their membership suspended depending upon the severity of the harrassment.
Medicines –
- We are not a medical facility and cannot give medical advice. If you are experiencing any medical complications, we will be calling 911. We cannot diagnose or advise you on any medical issue.
